At the same time data on the various pollutants detected by ARPA in the same areas were collected.

arly DNA damages were revealed in the oral mucosal children cells.

With the cooperation of the parents, through the completion of questionnaires, were also collected data on other possible sources of exposure to air pollutants such as those found in dwellings, demographic factors and aspects of lifestyle, such as eating that could affect the biological effects. The development of the overall data collected allowed us to verify the possible association between the findings in the air and in the cells of children.
